The Ratings Are Good

Throughout the several different types of carseats available for different ages and sizes of children, the scores for the Renegade look good. The lowest scoring seat was the infant seat, which received a C ranking, meaning that there were some issues with connections. Otherwise, all the car seats seemed to be easily installed and quite sturdy inside the Renegade.

What Worked Well

The Renegade's two lower latch anchors on the seats were easy to use and the three tether anchors on the rear seatbacks were easy to connect to. The front passenger seat only needed to be moved forward slightly for the rear convertible seat, and the front passenger still had a comfortable amount of legroom.

What Wasn't So Great

The rear-facing infant seat forced the front passenger seat to move forward quite a bit, and might create a cramped amount of legroom up front. The rear seats belt buckles are great and sturdy, but because they are recessed into the seat cushion, they can be tricky to use for younger passengers.
