The 2017 Jeep Wrangler comes equipped with a 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 engine that gets 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The Wrangler gets an estimated 17 city and 21 highway MPG. It has the ability to tow up to 3,500 pounds and features Trailer Sway Control to help you keep control of your trailer. Finally revealed at the LA Auto Show recently, the Wrangler JL keeps generally the same outward appearance and design, but there are a number of updates that make the Wrangler JL the most advanced Wrangler out there! This engine comes paired with a 6-speed manual transmission but offers an 8-speed automatic transmission as well. A new engine option is available on the JL. This engine is a 2.0-liter inline-four cylinder turbocharged engine that gets 270 horsepower and 296 pound-feet of torque. This engine is available on all trim levels and comes standard with the 8-speed automatic transmission. Available in 2019 is a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 engine. This engine is expected to produce up to 260 horsepower and 442 pound-feet of torque, and it will be paired with a livelier version of the TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission. 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL Performance The new Jeep Wrangler JL sees some great upgrades in the off-road arena, with mechanical updates and more capabilities than ever before.
