The editors came up with eight models to feature, and among them was one of our own: the newly redesigned Chrysler 200. We knew the 2015 Chrysler 200 safety ratings were good, of course, but it's great to see the new model get some recognition from other trusted sources like The Car Connection. Today we'll tell you a little bit about the criteria by which they were able to choose the 200, and give you some additional information about some of the top safety features on the 2015 Chrysler 200. more Alright, so first of all, how did The Car Connection come up with the criteria for which vehicles could make the cut? Starting with the thirty-three Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) Top Safety Pick+ recipients, TCC then went on to further narrow the options by looking only at models that also earned a top five-star safety rating from the federal government in frontal and side impact tests as well as an overall five-star score. Among those that remained after all that weeding out was our own 2015 Chrysler 200. 2018 Jeep Wrangler Specs The Jeep Wrangler has been known for its classic build and traditional look since the 1940’s. This rugged looking utility vehicle is getting a buff and shine for its reboot expected in 2018. Since 2007, the redesign has been in the works and it is speculated to leave Jeep lovers everywhere stunned with its new capabilities. The 2018 Jeep Wrangler Specs? more Potentially taking a hint from other industry leaders, Fiat-Chrysler may be introducing the 2018 Jeep Wrangler with an aluminum body shell. The benefits of an aluminum body shell, according to the Aluminum Association, include a reduction in the total carbon emissions, and a reduction in weight resulting in a higher fuel efficiency. Despite questions from the public, Fiat-Chrysler officials shot down rumors that the 2018 Wrangler would have a unibody design; instead keeping with the tradition of the classic Jeep body-on-frame construction. Another change in the 2018 Wrangler will be the fact that it is an eight-speed automatic. The same unit is featured on models such as the Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Dodge Challenger. The eight-speed auto that will make a new home in the 2018 Jeep Wrangler, called the Chrysler Torqueflite, is said to reduce fuel consumption by more than 9 percent over the five-speed. On top of better fuel mileage, it was revealed that the new Wrangler will be a hybrid featuring an electric motor. Brand head Mike Manley stated that “with an electric motor you have the most torque available and with the right combination of transmission and gear ratios you can create incredible crawl ratios.” To sum it up, the 2018 Jeep Wrangler will be a fresh face in the line of previous Jeep cars that have become classics. The refreshing changes in the legendary off-roader could mean big changes for fuel economy in the sport utility vehicle industry.

Why do Jeep drivers wave at each other? If you're a Jeep Wrangler driver, you may very well already know about the Jeep wave. If you don't, it's time to learn in order to keep all your fellow Wrangler drivers happy with a tradition that keeps going strong. Today we'll tell you about the Jeep wave, the rules (there are only two!) and while we're at it we'll throw in a little information about where you can come and test drive a new or used Jeep Wrangler -- maybe you'll even get to try the wave during your test drive! more Alright, so as simply put as possible, the Jeep wave is a tradition wherein Jeep Wrangler drivers, upon encountering another Jeep Wrangler driver anywhere on the road (or off road!) give a friendly wave to one another. It's a friendly gesture that says, "Hey, you've got great taste in vehicles, and I would know!" Many Wrangler drivers are very interested in keeping the amicable tradition alive.
